Atlantic Slave Memorial
Co-concept Developer
As part of our ongoing collaboration with Hope Initiatives International, we are proud to present a remarkable project that is currently in active development and slated for launch soon. In partnership with Hope Initiatives, Pollen has played a pivotal role in nurturing this initiative from its conceptualization to its current state
This initiative, a living-breathing memorial commemorating the Atlantic slave trade and the enduring quest for equal rights, involves the planting of 15 million trees in The Gambia. Each tree symbolizes one of the countless lives tragically taken from Africa and transported to the Americas and the Caribbean during this dark chapter in history. Additionally, it serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing racial injustices perpetuated by the legacy of slavery
This project holds global significance as it stands as a beacon of hope, promoting racial harmony and unity, with a particular focus on the USA and Africa while extending its embrace to the entire world. The trees are being planted by local communities along Africa's Great Green Wall, an awe-inspiring natural monument stretching over 5,000 miles from The Gambia to Djibouti
In collaboration with Hope Initiatives, Pollen has been instrumental in developing the project concept, identifying the relevant organizations to oversee the campaign in The Gambia and the USA, and successfully securing the necessary funding, amounting to $1.25 million. Stay tuned for the official launch of this transformative initiative, which promises to make a profound impact on our world.
